York

York region is home to many luxurious homes from sprawling estates to equestrian properties. Some of the top neighbourhoods include South Richvale, The National Estates, Kings Cross, Fairfield Estates, Woodland Acres, Bayview Glen, and Uplands.

If you are looking for a luxury home, doing research on the specific neighborhoods is key. Most luxury communities have top streets to live on. As an example, South Richvale’s most expensive streets are: Maryvale Cres, Denham Drive, Westwood Lane, and Bryson Drive.

Land values in these luxury communities of the Greater Toronto Area continue to rise steadily, since the early 2000s. As an example, in South Richvale, you could pick up a 100×400 size lot for 1.4M around $2012. Currently the value of a lot that size (if you can find it!) is around five million dollars. To date, the most expensive home sold in South Richvale fetched a record 12.6M dollars.
